MINIPOST: Let's take a few minutes to obsess over HELLO KITTY BATHROOMS!

A few days ago I was listening to the episode of Unspooled about Psycho. While I was literally in the bathroom brushing my teeth, the hosts discussed how scandalous and ground breaking it was (at the time) that Hitchcock showed an actual flushing toilet in the film. This lead to me think about something semi-troubling (or not) about myself: why do I have so many photos of Hello Kitty bathrooms saved on Pinterest? I JUST CAN’T STOP. It’s all a fantasy to me because I will probably never embrace an entirely HK bathroom theme in my own home. I guess that’s what Pinterest is all about. Wow, that’s deep, right?

Perhaps you share my love of adorable bathrooms. Maybe you will see all of the photos below and sniff, “Ugh, boring, I’ve seen these all before.” Regardless, let’s waste a few minutes together. Here are some of my favorites, with minimal commentary.

Is that a very low sink? A bidet? Very classy, regardless.

I like to imagine that there is a roll of pink toilet paper just out of sight. And yes, I know colored TP is very bad for one’s privates.

That tub! Also, while I’ll never have a Hello Kitty bathroom, I DO plan on buying a pink toilet when I finally own a house.
